We
heard about this event whilst socialising in one of Aviemores
fine public houses over several beers when somebody came up with
the bright idea of oragnising our own event
in Aviemore and building ourselves a ramp into the
Spey! - we slept on it and still the idea seemed good in the morning,
thus the idea of 'The Big Splash'
was born.
what's on in the Scottish Highlands?
From this idea the Big Splash seemed to grow and grow from a humble plank into the River Spey for our own use into a UK wide event consisting of a four metre high ramp for multi use including snowboards, skis, mountain bikes, canoes, skateboards etc.

Aviemore
has gone through turbulent times with regards marketing itself
and is still unsure of its identity, however it is slowly coming
round to the idea of an all year round resort for adventurous
activities 'The Big Splash', self proclaimed
"stupidest Scottish
event of the year", will assist in compounding
that view, giving the impression that Aviemore is a young and
lively place where people want to come from all over the UK to
try a wide range of adventure and extreme sports.
We need your support to make it the Scottish event not just another event in Scotland.
